Placing cabinets

• Drag a cabinet from the Library drawer (on the left) onto the canvas, or click it to add it to the end of the run
• Click on the canvas to select; Shift for several, or drag a box on the background
• Drag the orange handles on the boundaries to change the width; type the number right there
• Drag a cabinet to move it; it snaps to standard widths and to obstruction edges. Drop the cooktop cabinet near the hood duct and the “cooktop under hood” guide appears: its center lands on the duct and the cabinets beside it make room (Alt turns snapping off)
• Right-click: duplicate, lock, delete, change type
• Delete deletes, Ctrl+Z undoes, R/G/D rulers, grid, dimensions

Move the wall run up and down with the handle beside it; it snaps to 60/65/70.

The status bar at the bottom always tells you how many sheets you need and what difference each change made (“+1 sheet · +10 million”). As you change widths, you see right away how much your decision costs.

Details of each cabinet

How a front opens

In Properties ▸ Front ▸ How the front opens, pick one of six ways; the fronts, the drilling and the shopping list change together:

• Handle — choose the model from the catalogue. Its holes appear on the drilling sheet; a rail handle grips the top edge of the front and needs no holes.
• Push to open, no handle — a push latch behind every door and drawer, and no hole in the front at all. Soft-close hinges and slides fight the latch; the assistant says so and offers the plain hinge.
• Handle channel (profile) — base cabinets with a railed top only: an L profile above the top row and a C between rows. The fronts lose the profile’s height, and the sides are notched for it.
• J pull and finger groove — on a flat one-piece front (a J pull needs at least 18 mm): along the top edge of a base front, the bottom edge of a wall front. The routing is billed by the metre.
• None — a front no hand opens (behind another door, or purely decorative).

The cabinet is drawn the way it opens, on the canvas and in the preview: the handle bar, the channel’s gap, or the routed band — and a push-to-open front stays plain.

Sliding doors (wardrobes)

For a wardrobe, set the row’s kind to Sliding door: the doors move aside on a track and overlap where they pass, so each one is wider than half the opening. The top and bottom rails take a little off the doors’ height and are bought by the metre. No hinges. A row is either all sliding or none of it — a sliding door has no room beside a hinged one. Library ▸ Tall ▸ Wardrobe, two sliding doors has one ready.

The oven and microwave niche

A cabinet with a built-in appliance gets its own fixed shelves: the oven stands on one, and the one above it closes the opening. Where they go is decided by the open row of the front, not by you — change the height of the oven’s opening and the shelves follow it. Your own shelves no longer land in the middle of that opening either.

Glass doors

Any cell of the front can be a glass door: in Properties ▸ Front ▸ Front rows, set the row’s kind to “Glass door”. Such a door is not cut from a sheet — its aluminium frame is bought by the metre and its pane by the square metre — but it hangs on the same hinges and takes the same handle. Under the same section, choose the frame and the glass from the catalogue; if the glass is too thick or too thin for the frame’s groove, the assistant says so and offers the one that fits. Library ▸ Wall ▸ Two glass doors has one ready.

In the library, the base and wall tabs have a Modern handleless card: push to open on plain hinges, right from the start.

Assistant

Small badges on each cabinet show its issues; click the counter at the bottom to open the full list:

• 🔴 Error — always fix it before you buy sheets
• 🟡 Warning — likely to cause a problem
• 🔵 Note — worth a look

Most issues have a fix button that tells you what will change before it applies anything. Every rule has a “Why?”; if it makes no sense for this project, mute it (with a reason).

3D

The 3D view (key 2, or “Both” with 3): ready-made views, saving your own view, section cuts, measuring with two clicks, wall and floor color, step-by-step assembly. Render produces a high-quality image and can sit on the photo of the wall; renders can be kept in the project, and one of them can be made the report cover.
